lindaTALKS: Gender equality – intersectional thinking: How can multiple discrimination be avoided?
People are often affected by different forms of discrimination, which are intertwined and thus lead to an independent experience of discrimination for those affected. So-called intersectional mechanisms of discrimination have hardly been taken into account in decision-making processes, and the close interconnection of racism and sexism, for example, is still far too little anchored in the consciousness of decision-makers.
