Most of our lawyers have studied abroad or have worked in another country for an extended period of time. Almost all of our partners have a background at a major international law firm and have brought a network of international contacts at foreign law firms with them.

With this kind of background, we advise a large number of foreign clients on their activities in Germany. Most of our international clients come from the Anglo-American world, Latin America or Scandinavia. Many are based in France or Spain. For our work abroad, we collaborate with prestigious firms. In doing so, we do not rely on fixed partnerships with specific law firms. Rather, we select a partner who is best suited for the particular project.

Many of our clients are based in North America or Great Britain. We advise them, for example, on the setting up of branch offices and subsidiaries in Germany as well as on the day-to-day operations of those entities. Also, M&A and real estate transactions, as well as international tax aspects and banking and capital markets law matters often come in focus for our North American and Great Britain based clients. Increasingly important for them becomes our particular expertise in litigation and arbitration.
