lindenpartners advises TESVOLT on the sale and implementation of the largest battery farm project in the company’s history to date

With the support of lindenpartners, TESVOLT AG has successfully developed its largest battery park project to date and sold the project rights to an investor.

A battery storage park with a total capacity of 190 MWh is being built on a commercial site spanning over 20,000 m² in the Apollensdorf district of Wittenberg. The plan calls for the installation of 36 large-scale storage units with a total output of 60 MW. Grid connection will be provided via an existing high-voltage line on the site; a substation will also be constructed. Commissioning is scheduled for March 2028.

TESVOLT is developing the project to the construction-ready stage and will oversee construction, while a private-equity-backed investor is responsible for financing and subsequent operations. The project volume amounts to approximately 35 million euros. The required grid connection capacity has already been approved by the grid operator Mitnetz.

lindenpartners provided comprehensive advice to TESVOLT on the conclusion of the purchase agreement and the EPC contract. The advisory work was carried out in close collaboration with the law firm von Bredow Valentin Herz (vBVH), which specializes in energy law and with which lindenpartners regularly cooperates on renewable energy projects. lindenpartners regularly advises on a wide range of transactions in the energy sector, particularly in the areas of battery energy storage (BESS), wind energy, PV, and biogas.
