Jan Schmidt-Seidl provides advice to our clients regarding banking and data protection law. In particular, he assists companies, credit institutions and associations with the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as on issues related to digitization with respect to data protection law, securities supervisory law and consumer law. He also represents our clients’ interests before data protection supervisory authorities.
Jan Schmidt-Seidl studied in Bremen and Cologne. Before joining lindenpartners, he was a legal adviser in the Association of German Cooperative Banks (BVR) and was responsible for the legal support of sales projects of the Genossenschaftliche FinanzGruppe. Previously, Jan Schmidt-Seidl worked in a similar capacity for the German Savings Banks Association (DSGV). He began his professional career as an attorney at Dentons (formerly SALANS).
