Eric Romba brings with him a wealth of expertise in banking and capital markets regulatory law and digitisation. He advises on investment law, banking supervision law and the German Investment Act (KAGB), in particular on capital management companies, investment funds and fintech.
His main focus is on the digitization of business models and their regulatory classification.
Eric Romba is dedicated to the development of law against the background of new technologies. His focus here is on distributed ledger technologies (blockchain), crypto assets, initial coin offerings and crypto currencies.
In addition to his professional passion for investment and supervisory law, his private passion is his interest in art. Here Eric Romba advises artists, gallery owners and collectors, e.g. on transactions, the structuring of tax issues or the structuring of art assets and estates.
Eric Romba studied in Bonn. He knows legislation and law application from practice. He worked for several years in the German Bundestag and as a lawyer in a renowned real estate law firm. He also brings 12 years of experience as Managing Director of the bsi Bundesverband Sachwerte und Investmentvermögen e.V. with activities in Berlin and Brussels.
In addition to his work as a lawyer, Eric Romba holds various executive, supervisory and advisory board positions, including Chairman of the Ombudsstelle Sachwerte und Investmentvermögen e.V. Berlin.
