Anika Patz advises our clients on questions in the area of banking and capital markets law. Her focus lies on regulatory requirements for banks, financial institutions and service providers, trading venues and fund initiators. She also advises FinTechs and consults on questions related to Blockchain, DLT and ICOs. In addition, she has expertise in insurance supervisory law.
Anika Patz studied in Berlin. Afterwards she worked as a research assistant at the Humboldt University and at the EWeRK Institute for Energy and Competition Law. Her doctoral thesis is on "State Supervision of Financial Instruments". As part of the legal traineeship, she worked in the Federal Ministry of Finance on issues regarding securities markets and in Brussels for the European Commission – DG FISMA on issues related to the regulation of European and non-European trading venues.
